Spice India
Our Story

Fifteen years, one chef's kitchen.

Family-run, cooked fresh, and rooted in Newry - this is the story behind Spice India.

Long before Spice India opened its doors, Chef Neelam had already spent years developing and refining menus — testing dishes, adjusting recipes, learning exactly what worked, one kitchen at a time. By the time he settled on the menu you'll find here today, he wasn't guessing. He'd spent a career getting there.

That was over fifteen years ago, and the kitchen on the Belfast Road has been his ever since — a genuine family business, not a franchise. He sources meat from local farms and eggs and produce from growers nearby, because food made close to home simply tastes better than anything shipped in from further afield.

Every recipe on the menu is Neelam's own, cooked fresh to order — proper tandoor work and techniques built up over a career, meeting the ingredients and character of Newry. It's authentic Indian food with an honest Irish twist, made the same way it's been made for fifteen years: by hand, by one chef, and by nobody else.
